Editorial policy
Authentic Food Journal aims to make food origins and sourcing easier to understand. We use careful language, separate established information from interpretation and correct published work when we find a meaningful error.
Accuracy and clarity
We check factual statements against suitable, available sources and avoid presenting a guess as a fact. When a subject is uncertain, disputed or dependent on context, we say so. Our articles explain general food information; they do not offer personal dietary, medical or regulatory advice.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are kept distinct from commercial arrangements. Sponsored articles, paid placements and other partner material are clearly labelled so readers can tell when content is commercial. A partnership does not guarantee favourable editorial coverage.
Corrections and illustrations
If you spot a factual error, please contact us with the article and the point in question. We review correction requests and update material when warranted. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where used, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary photographs.
